A massive ski area which includes over 270km of ski slopes which excludes access to Zell am See which is a new development which is not yet 100% complete. The villages of Saalbach, Hinerglemm, Leogang, Fieberbrunn & Zell am See make it one of the largest ski areas in Austria. Beginners, families and experts can use 140 km blue, 112 km red and 18 km of black slopes. Accommodation

This upscale ALL-INCLUSIVE Alpine hotel is situated in the centre of Saalbach on the beginner slope. Airy rooms with rustic accents offer free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs and minibars. Upgraded rooms and suites have sitting areas with sofas, while upgraded suites feature chic furnishings and whirlpool tubs. Split-level chalets come with kitchenettes and separate living/dining areas. Room service is available. Parking and buffet breakfast are free. There’s a polished restaurant, a hip bar and a terrace. Other amenities include a spa, a heated outdoor pool, a sauna and a hot tub, plus an in-house ski and snowboard school.

Other than skiing there is plenty to keep a non-skier occupied in Saalbach too. Day excursions to nearby Salzburg, perhaps a Sound of Music tour or visit Mozart birth house or travel to Innsbruck with a stop at the Swarovski crystal factory. Winter walks in Hinterglemm or a visit to Zell am See for a lazy boozy lunch.
